This course offers a comprehensive introduction to the rich tradition of Hindustani Classical Music, one of the two major systems of Indian classical music. Students will explore the fundamental concepts of Raga (melodic framework) and Tala (rhythmic cycle), along with voice culture, basic swaras (notes), alankars (patterns), and traditional compositions such as Bandish.
